The Conspiracy from Delhi to Destabilize the Country

Following the bloody July, August brought about a new chapter in Bangladesh’s history with a mass uprising. However, it seems there is little room for complacency given India’s past activities, which send a worrying message about the current issues. German-based news outlet ‘The Mirror Asia’ has reported that the Indian intelligence agency ‘RAW’ is implementing a series of plans concerning Bangladesh.

According to the report, India’s first project is scheduled from September 1 to November 30. The goal of this project is to spread rumors that Islamic extremists have taken control of Dr. Yunus. The report also mentions that there are efforts to create fear among the public by showing evidence of protestors’ connections to Hizbut-Tahrir, particularly targeting young leftist leaders.

The report further reveals that a journalist in Delhi has had lengthy discussions with three former leftist student leaders who are anti-American. India’s main aim is to destabilize the current government by preventing the formation of youth groups. For this purpose, an internal sub-group within RAW has been assigned the task of carrying out this mission in Bangladesh.

Additionally, a cell named ‘Victor Two’ has been formed to make decisions related to Bangladesh. The members of this cell translate student leaders’ Facebook statuses into Hindi and English and submit them to the ‘Victor Two’ table.

The report from ‘The Mirror Asia’ also mentions that on July 16, when the Hasina government issued orders to shoot students on sight, the situation gradually came under the government’s control. Subsequently, at Sheikh Hasina’s special request and under the direct supervision of India’s security advisor, 400 RAW-trained officers came to Dhaka and repressed the movement using methods similar to those in Kashmir, returning to Delhi on July 28. However, they were unsure about the subsequent situation.

The report also states that after August 5, a counter-revolution plan was devised under the guise of a minority rally on August 10, with a large number of Indian journalists present in Dhaka that day. When that failed, a second plan was made for August 15, but it also did not succeed. The report notes that Sheikh Hasina is currently staying in a secure building of India’s internal intelligence agency, the Intelligence Bureau, where she is attending various high-profile meetings. To boost her morale, her daughter Saima Wazed Putul is regularly visiting her. It is speculated that Sheikh Hasina will remain in India for an extended period.
